At the Nakashima Studio in New Hope, Pennsylvania, USA, the great late designer George Nakashima celebrated the soul of the tree. Through his classic design, Nakashima gave each tree a second life.
Having discovered the art of woodworking whilst at an internment camp during World War 2, Nakashima went on to open a his studio in 1943.
Nakashima reconnects us to nature through his sophisticated and elegant design which always highlights each piece of wood's unique grain or spirit.
