This exceptional stool, designed around 1954 by Jean Prouvé, exemplifies his innovative approach to furniture design. The stool features a rotatable and height-adjustable construction, crafted from painted metal and plywood. Its dimensions are 53-67 cm in height and 32 x 32 cm in width and depth.

Notably rare, this stool was part of a pair from a private collection. The counterpart was auctioned at Phillips in London in 2022. To date, only these two examples are known to exist.

The original drawing for this design is preserved in the Archives Jean Prouvé under reference number 186192.
