Artistic Statement
Hugo Alonso’s work is a convergence of painting, photography, and digital media, where he explores themes of memory, perception, and the uncanny. His pieces often depict blurred, ghostly images that evoke a sense of nostalgia and mystery. Alonso’s fascination with cinema and the techniques of film noir are evident in his use of light and shadow, creating atmospheres that are both surreal and haunting. His work delves into the subconscious, challenging viewers to confront their own perceptions and emotions.
