Violeta Maya

Born in Madrid 1993 (Spain), currently living in Barcelona.
Violeta graduated in 2015 in BA Interaction and Moving Image at Central Saint Martins, London with a First Class Honours.
Dispite her young age she's exhibited in various galleries and residencies, outstanding: 71A Gallery (London, UK), The Lethaby Gallery (London, UK), Galería Espacio Valverde (Madrid, Spain), NB7 Gallery (Madrid, Spain), Rodrigo Juarranz Galería (Aranda del Duero, Spain), Mercedes Roldan Galería (Madrid, Spain), Art Farm Residency (Verona, Italy), The Curious Festival at Barbican Center in London and Hybrid Festival (Madrid, Spain) amongst others.
She was the first prize winner of the "Big White Wall" by Cass Art, Windsor and Newton and Central Saint Martins. Also, first prize winner of "EL FLECHAZO" prize at FELCHA Madrid'19. One of the 5 winners of the BBC Radio-1 Contest "Re-score Drive". Accepted at Royal College of Art, London and finalist in the selection process for La Caixa Scholarship for postgraduate studies.
Violeta has also participated in a good number of art fairs in Europe and EEUU such as: AFF Art Fair London 2019, Brussels Art Fair 2019, The Other Art Fair New York 2019, FLECHA Madrid 2019, Verona Art Fair 2019, FLECHA Bilbao 2019, London Art Fair 2019 and CONTEXT Miami 2019.
She has also worked for the artist Zimoun at his studio in Bern, Switzerland, as well as at Andrew Everett Sculptor Engineering studio in London, and at the studio of the artist Carlos Diaz de Bustamante in Madrid, Spain.
She has artwork in private collections such as: Petrus Fernandini. Lima,
