Miquel Mont

He engages in a formal exploration of the boundaries of painting. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, he delved into the material density of paint, pushing it to the point where his artworks approached a three-dimensional quality. Subsequently, his creations expanded in size, seamlessly integrating with the surrounding space. His artistic style is distinguished by its minimalist approach.
His pieces are prominently featured in various public and private collections, including La Caixa, Banco de España, Fundación Barrier, Fundación Suñol, Museu d'art de Lleida, Museo de Alava, Ludwig Museum, FNAC, FRAC (Alsace, Bretagne, Picardie, Corse), Fundation Belgacom, FMAC Paris, and others. Miquel Mont has been residing and working in Paris since 1989.
