Enrich .R

Enrich R.’s work is centered on a layering strategy that combines superimposed strata and mixed paint compositions derived from organic abstracted shapes. Through modulation and materiality, he seeks to capture a poetic and raw essence. His compositions navigate a path of silence, with the insights of paint reaching toward the essential.

Concepts such as space and time, physics, and memory subtly emerge from the cracks on the canvas surface. Muted tones struggle with proportion to achieve harmony. He occasionally explores themes of imperfection and the psychological aspects of paint, confronting common ideas from Eastern cultural heritage with a strong influence of Mediterranean light.

His imagery begins with organic patterns, later transformed into distorted graphics, enigmatic rhythms, and modest gestures. His influences include artists such as Rothko, Hernández Pijuan, Lee Ufan, Richter, Morandi, and others who prioritize paint over concept.

Simplicity, harmony, and formal beauty characterize his work, employing a variety of worn and bare supports where layers of color and the patina of time create a unique surface full of sensuality, energy, and tension.
